First Announcement

We are pleased to announce that the Eighteenth Conference Applications of Logic in Philosophy and the Foundations of Mathematics will be held in Szklarska Poręba from May 6 to May 10, 2013. Traditionally, the organizers of the conference are Chair of Logic, University of Wrocław, Institute of Mathematics and Informatics, Opole University and Institute of Mathematics, University of Silesia at Katowice. The event is being held under the patronage of Polish Association for Logic and Philosophy of Science. The conference will take place in Szklarska Poręba, in the lovely Sudety Mountains on the Polish Czech border.

We are also pleased to announce that Allen Mann (New York) and Thomas Ågotnes (Bergen) will be among the invited speakers of the upcoming event. A series of lectures delivered by them will concern issues related to game theory.
We encourage everyone interested in logic to participate in our event. Contributions related to the logical philosophy, pragmatics, foundations of mathematics and related areas are welcome.

We are pleased to announce that the Seventeenth Conference Applications of Logic in Philosophy and Foundations of Mathematics will be held in Szklarska Poręba from May 6 to May 10, 2013. Traditionally, the organizers of the conference are Chair of Logic, University of Wrocław, Institute of Mathematics and Informatics, Opole University and Institute of Mathematics, University of Silesia. The event is being held under the patronage of Polish Association for Logic and Philosophy of Science.

The leading theme of the current issue of the conference focuses on game theory. It is a pleasure to announce that our list of the invited speakers of our conference includes:

We encourage everyone interested in logic to participate in our event. Contributions concerning the leading theme of the conference and other topics in logic, logical philosophy, foundations of mathematics and related areas are welcome. The abstracts of 30-40 minutes talks, not extending one page, should be submitted via the registration form on the conference website. The deadline for submissions is April 12, 2013.

The conference venue is situated in the Sudety Mountains on the Polish-Czech border at Olimp Hotel in Szklarska Poręba. The full accommodation covers four-day stay in the hotel (from Monday afternoon till Friday noon) and meals. The cost of accommodation (including meals) is from 678 PLN in a double room to 866 PLN in a single room. The conference fee is 150 PLN.
