First Announcement

We are pleased to announce that the 23rd Conference Applications of Logic in Philosophy and the Foundations of Mathematics will be held in Szklarska Poręba from May 7 to May 11, 2018. Traditionally, the organizers of the conference are Department of Logic and Methodology of Sciences, University of Wrocław, Institute of Mathematics and Computer Science, University of Opole, and Institute of Mathematics, University of Silesia in Katowice. The meeting takes place in Szklarska Poręba, in the lovely Sudety Mountains on the Polish-Czech border. The event is being held under the patronage of the Polish Association for Logic and Philosophy of Science.

 We would like to announce special lectures which will be presented in honor of the late professor Grzegorz Bryll. All who want to contribute in this event are welcome. However, we always encourage everyone interested in logic to participate in our conference. Contributions related to logic, logical philosophy, pragmatics, foundations of mathematics, foundations of computer science and related areas are welcome.

Second Announcement

We are pleased to announce that the 23rd Conference Applications of Logic in Philosophy and Foundations of Mathematics will be held in Szklarska Poręba from May 7 to May 11, 2018. Traditionally, the organizers of the conference are Department of Logic and Methodology of Sciences, University of Wrocław, Institute of Mathematics and Computer Science, University of Opole, and Institute of Mathematics, University of Silesia in Katowice.  The event is being held under the patronage of Polish Association for Logic and Philosophy of Science. We are pleased to announce that the invited speaker of the upcoming meeting is professor Andrzej Indrzejczak, University of Łódź, who will present his talks entitled Definite Descriptions and Proof Theory

Moreover, a session of special lectures in honour of the late professor Grzegorz Bryll is planned. 

As usual, we encourage everyone interested in logic to participate in our conference. Contributions related to logic, logical philosophy, pragmatics, foundations of mathematics and related areas are welcome. The abstracts of 30-40 minutes talks, not extending one page, should be submitted via the registration form on the conference website. The deadline for submissions is April 3, 2018 and the notification of acceptance will be sent until April 13, 2018.

The conference venue is situated in the Sudety Mountains on the Polish-Czech border at Olimp Hotel in Szklarska Poręba. The full accommodation covers four-day stay in the hotel (from Monday afternoon till Friday noon) and meals. The cost of accommodation (including meals) is from 662 PLN in a double room to 742 PLN in a single room. The conference fee is 200 PLN.
